📘 This article provides an overview of the Analytics Overview section of the Botify Analytics Suite. The Analytics Overview is available to customers on any Botify plan.
Overview
Analytics Overview segments your crawl data into one convenient view and evaluates your pages across the five stages of the SEO Funnel: Known Pages, Crawl, Index, Rank, and Convert. The funnel provides a high-level view of a page’s indexation in search results user clicks. Each of the five stages has set parameters to filter the URLs from the previous stage in the funnel. Monitor your site’s overall health and take action to drive clicks and revenue for your project’s domain.
Analytics Overview links each funnel stage to ActionBoard's goal-based guidance pages for quick insight into issues affecting your site performance and the next steps for your highest priority recommendations.

About the SEO Search Funnel
For search engine users to land on your site and complete conversion, they must first be able to find your website in search results. For your website to appear in search results, you must ensure the page is being crawled and indexed correctly. For a page to be indexed correctly, search engines must be able to discover the URL to see that it exists and crawl and render it efficiently.
The SEO funnel provides deep insights into your site's health and performance, making it an ideal starting point for SEO audits. Below are descriptions and the benefits of each stage of the Analytics Overview funnel:
Known Pages
Botify relies on your site’s internal linking to discover pages on your site during a crawl. Pages that are accessible through internal linking are referred to as Known pages.
Benefits of this view: This is the starting point of your SEO search funnel, through which you can understand the pages Botify has discovered through internal linking that will be the basis of your SEO funnel data.
Crawl & Render
When all Known pages are identified, Botify compares this set of pages with your site’s Log Files to find which pages are crawled and rendered by Google. Your crawl budget percentage is based on the number of Known Pages Crawled by Google divided by the total number of Known Pages. Typically, a higher crawl budget percentage is better for the health of your site, as it indicates pages internally linked to are regularly being discovered and crawled by Google.
Unknown, or Orphan Pages, are not internally linked but can be discovered and crawled by Google. Review the list of Unknown Pages to identify important pages to add internal links to and low-value pages to prevent Google from crawling.
Benefits of this view: This stage in the SEO funnel helps conceptualize the percentage of pages found on your site (Known Pages) crawled by Google and which pages are ignored. This is important since Google cannot crawl the entire web. Approximately 51% of our enterprise clients’ pages, on average, are not crawled by Google.
Index
Indexable Pages are Known Pages crawled by Google compliant with search indexation rules. Non-200 status code URLs, URLs with a meta no-index tag, or URLs with non-self-referencing canonical tags are filtered out, leaving only pages capable of being indexed.
Benefits of this view: At this stage in the funnel, you can review the indexable URLs that Google is actively crawling to determine how these pages impact your site’s traffic and overall health. Consider whether a large percentage of your indexed pages rank and generate clicks or if you suffer from index bloat with many “thin content” pages, which makes it harder for your good content to rank.
URLs can be labeled as Indexable pages crawled by Google but still not appear in search results because search engines may choose not to index a URL if the page is deemed unnecessary.
Rank
The percentage of Known pages crawled by Google that are indexable and receive impressions in Google search results. This stage uses RealKeywords data to aggregate your ranking performance to reveal the total number of Impressions and Unique Keywords across ranking pages.
Benefits of this view: The stage recommendation reports in this section help identify where to improve your Click-Through Rate (CTR) and whether the pages you want to rank appear in search results.
Convert
The percentage of pages ranking in search results that receive Google organic visits. This is the final stage of the Analytics Overview funnel, which uses Google Organic visits, revenue, and conversion rate from your analytics provider to highlight which pages generate traffic and revenue for your brand. Read more about revenue and conversion data in Botify.
Benefits of this view: The exact pages and page types that drive traffic and revenue for your brand are identified here, which is vital information for enterprise SEOs trying to hit key performance metrics while juggling multiple priorities.
