After defining quality controls and monitoring render quality in SpeedWorkers, you may want to adjust quality controls to increase the success rate.
Comparing Quality Controls
Quality controls will be executed when the pages within scope are next rendered, and SpeedWorkers will report the quality controls that were in effect on pages at the time of delivery. This means there will be a period after making changes to quality controls before you see the new quality control in effect. To account for this, we recommend the following steps:
Record the metrics for the original quality control from the Render Quality page.
Create a new settings version, identifying the new quality control in the label.
Edit the quality control settings.
Have pages rendered that are affected by the updated quality control.
Deliver these pages to bots.
Monitor the quality control status on the Render Quality page and compare it to the original quality control metrics.
