📘 This article explains setting up the Content Performance Dashboard in RealKeywords to evaluate your content performance easily. RealKeywords is part of Botify's Analytics Suite, available with all Botify plans.
Overview
The Content Performance Dashboard is an effective way to start quickly in Botify, especially within specific categories. Before working in the Content Performance Dashboard, ensure you have the following set up correctly, which may have been configured on your behalf:
Segments: Your Botify segmentation is the source of the category-level data in the Content Performance Dashboard; therefore, your segments must be correctly defined in Botify.
HTML Extract: To realize the full potential of the Content Performance Dashboard, create an HTML extract that defines the number of unique products in your product listing pages.
Contact your SEO Success Manager if your segmentation and the HTML extract need to be set up or your categories do not appear as expected in the Content Performance Dashboard.
When your segmentation and HTML extract are set up correctly, your full content evaluation will be available in the Content Performance Dashboard after you set up the following locations:
Identifying Your Category Page Location
The Content Performance Dashboard lets you focus on your website categories that you are most interested in. Setting your category page location allows you to quickly select and change page categories to be displayed in the dashboard. Category page location is your site’s top-level page categories, which are defined in your project segmentation. Category pages include product listing pages (e.g., toys) and product pages (e.g., Mario bros on NES).
To define where your category pages exist in your segmentation:
Expand the Category list at the top of the page, then click Edit.
Select a category from the Category Page Segment list. These are the names of your defined segment types and structured data.
If the selected category is from a breadcrumb tree, select a more narrow category from the second dropdown list optionally.
Click Select. The Content Performance Dashboard category list updates to display the selected categories.
Identifying Your Product Page Location
Setting your product detail and article page locations unlocks an evaluation of your page size. Product detail pages with small content sizes tend to perform better than those with larger content sizes. Article pages with larger content sizes typically perform better than those with smaller content sizes.
If your website includes product detail and article pages, complete the following process to define the location of each page type:
Scroll to the “Evaluate Product Page and Article Content Size” opportunity, then click Select Location in the Products or Articles block.
Select the name of the segment type that defines your page location from the Page Segment list. These are the names of your defined segment types. Product detail pages define the details of individual products (e.g., price, size, color), not product listing pages. Article pages are content-rich pages on your site.
Select the specific segment value that defines your product page location from the Segment Value list.
Click Select. The opportunity is populated with your low-ranking pages that have content sizes inconsistent with those ranking in top positions.
Identifying Your Product Count Location
Setting your product count location unlocks an evaluation of your product listing pages (PLPs) with insufficient products, which can be frustrating for users and may affect your rankings. Product listing pages provide lists of products grouped by category or search query.
To define your product count location:
Scroll to the “Address Listing Pages With Not Enough Products” opportunity, then click Select Locations.
Select the name of the segment type that defines your PLP location from the PLP segment list. These are the names of your defined segment types and structured data.
Select the specific segment value that defines your PLP location from the PLP Segment Value list.
Select the name of the extract from the HTML Extract list that defines the number of unique products in your PLP pages.
Click Select. Your PLPs with three or fewer products populate the “Address Listing Pages With Not Enough Products” opportunity.
