Working in the AlertPanel URL Explorer

πŸ“˜ This article provides information on how to view the pages in your AlertPanel scope according to various metrics. AlertPanel is part of Botify's Intelligence Suite, available with a Botify Pro or Enterprise plan.

Overview

The AlertPanel URL Explorer provides a global view of all URLs within the scope you have defined in the AlertPanel settings and can be used as a custom reporting solution.

AlertPanel URL Explorer Features

Access the AlertPanel URL Explorer from the left-hand navigation bar. Refer to the numbered screenshot below to learn more about the AlertPanel URL Explorer features:

  1. Number of Entries Found: By default, this is the number of URLs with the scope you have defined in your AlertPanel settings. When filters are applied (refer to number 3 below), this number updates accordingly.

  2. Time period: Range of time that applies to the URL data displayed in URL Explorer. Click the arrow to select another time period, and then click Apply:

  3. Filters: Provides access to filters that refine the URL Explorer results based on your goals. When filters are applied to the URL Explorer, the title of this link updates to indicate the number of filters applied.

  4. Manage Columns: Provides access to add and reorder URL Explorer columns. Refer to the Working with Columns section for more information.

  5. Sort Order: Click the arrows next to a column heading to change the order in which the data is listed (ascending vs descending).

  6. URL: Click the preview icon to display the site page in a new window.

  7. Save Bookmark: When you have filters and columns set as you want, click the bookmark icon to save the settings to the URL Explorer Bookmarks for future use. Refer to the Managing Bookmarks section for more information.

Working with Columns

You can add columns to the AlertPanel URL Explorer to display the same metrics on which you can filter your data.

To add columns:

  1. Click the Manage Columns link.

  2. Use the search field at the top to locate a metric, or scroll through the list. Metrics are grouped into categories to help identify the specific metric, and tooltips provide descriptions when you hover over the name. The metrics you recently used, if any, are displayed at the top of the list as a shortcut.

  3. Click the name of a metric to add it to the list of selected columns on the right.

  4. If a selected metric has qualifiers, select an option from the dropdown list that displays in the block.

  5. To reorder columns, drag the block to the desired location in the list.

  6. To delete a column from the selected columns, click the X.

  7. When satisfied with your selected columns, click the Build your table button.​

Managing Bookmarks

AlertPanel URL Explorer bookmarks allow you to save your filter and column settings for future use.

To save a bookmark:

  1. Click the bookmark icon at the top of the page when you have your filters and columns set as desired.

  2. Provide a name and description for the bookmark, and then click Save.

This bookmark will only be visible to you and your team members within an organization.

To access saved bookmarks:

  1. Click the Explorer Bookmarks link in the left-hand navigation.

  2. Optionally, filter the view to bookmarks created by you, your team, or Botify recommendations.

  3. Click the desired bookmark name to open the AlertPanel URL Explorer with the saved filters and columns.
