Receiving MS Teams Alerts from AlertPanel

📘 This article explains how to connect your Microsoft Teams account to receive Botify alerts within Team channels. AlertPanel is part of Botify's Intelligence Suite, available with a Botify Pro or Enterprise plan.

Overview

Connecting your MS Teams account to AlertPanel involves the following steps:

  1. Creating a webhook in MS Teams

  2. Adding MS Teams to AlertPanel settings

  3. Adding Teams to Alert Groups

Creating a Webhook in MS Teams

Botify can be connected to your MS Teams account through a webhook, which allows Botify alerts to be shared in your MS Teams channels. Creating a webhook in MS Teams involves a few simple steps:

  1. Navigate to "Connectors" from the channel you want to connect to AlertPanel.

  2. Add and name a new incoming webhook.

  3. Copy the webhook to your system clipboard to paste it into the AlertPanel settings.

Adding MS Teams to AlertPanel Settings

After copying your unique webhook URL to the clipboard, complete the following steps to connect your MS Teams account to AlertPanel:

  1. Navigate to Intelligence > AlertPanel > Settings.​

  2. In the Contact Preferences section, click the Add Microsoft Teams button.

  3. In the Team name field of the Teams integration section, type the name of your MS Team.

  4. In the Channel field, type the name of the MS Team channel where you want the Botify alerts to be sent.

  5. In the Webhook field, paste the unique Webhook URL from your clipboard.

  6. Click the Add Microsoft Teams link to activate the connection.

When the connection is complete, a confirmation displays and the connection is added to the Microsoft Teams Integration section of Contact Preferences.

Adding Teams to Alert Groups

To begin receiving alerts after connecting your MS Teams account, you must select the MS Team names as recipients in your Alert Groups.

Deleting a MS Team Connection

To delete an existing MS Teams connection:

  1. Navigate to Intelligence > AlertPanel > Settings.

  2. Click the trash can icon next to the connection name in the Microsoft Teams Integration section.

    A confirmation message displays and the connection is removed from the list.​
