📘 This article explains how to choose a daily or weekly frequency for AI Visibility campaigns. The AI Visibility dashboard is part of Botify's Analytics Suite, available as an option with all Botify plans.
Overview
By default, AI Visibility runs your campaigns once a week. You can instead run them once a day to see how content or technical changes affect your AI visibility within 24–48 hours, instead of waiting for the next weekly batch. If your catalog or content changes often, daily batches help you attribute AI visibility changes to specific actions.
The frequency applies to the entire project. All campaigns in a project run on the same frequency; you cannot run some campaigns daily and others weekly.
How the daily frequency affects your answer allocation
Your plan includes a weekly answer allocation, and changing the frequency does not change the number of answers you can use each week. Each prompt uses one answer per country, per platform, each time it runs. A daily project runs each prompt seven times a week instead of once, so the same weekly allocation covers one seventh as many prompts. To calculate your daily allocation, divide your weekly allocation by seven. For example, a weekly allocation of 4,200 answers becomes a daily allocation of 600 answers.
The following example compares both frequencies for a project with a weekly allocation of 4,200 answers, where each prompt runs in one country on two platforms:
| Weekly | Daily |
Weekly answer allocation | 4,200 | 4,200 |
Batches per week | 1 | 7 |
Answers per batch | 4,200 | 600 |
Answers per prompt in each batch (1 country × 2 platforms) | 2 | 2 |
Prompts you can track | 2,100 | 300 |
How often each prompt runs | Once a week | Every day |
👉 A daily project measures fewer prompts per batch, so metrics vary more from one day to the next. Evaluate trends over several days instead of a single batch.
Before you switch to daily
If the answers allocated to your active campaigns exceed the daily allocation when you switch, AI Visibility deactivates all campaigns in the project, and no data is collected until you reduce your campaigns to fit the daily allocation. To avoid this, prepare your campaigns first:
On the Campaigns page, note the total number of allocated answers.
Divide your weekly allocation by seven to calculate your daily allocation.
If your allocated answers exceed the daily allocation, do one or more of the following:
Deactivate or delete lower-priority campaigns.
Create new campaigns with fewer prompts.
Edit your existing campaigns to reduce the number of prompts.
👉 Botify recommends creating new campaigns instead of editing existing ones. A new campaign starts a new data series, and the history of your weekly campaigns stays with those campaigns. When you filter a report by the new campaign, it shows only the answers from that campaign, even for prompts that also ran in an earlier campaign.
Contact your Botify account team if you need help choosing the most strategic prompts for your new campaigns.
Switching to daily
Go to Analytics > AI Visibility > Settings.
On the General tab, in the "Frequency" section, note the approximate number of daily answers.
Click Daily.
If your current usage fits within the daily allocation, the change is saved immediately.
If your current usage exceeds the daily allocation, the "Switch to daily campaigns?" dialog explains that all campaigns will be paused.
In the dialog, click Yes, switch to daily to confirm, or No, cancel to keep the weekly frequency.
The first daily batch runs within 24 hours. Data collected before the switch remains available, and charts adjust automatically to the new frequency.
👀 If your campaigns were deactivated because they exceeded the daily allocation, they remain deactivated until you reduce the number of prompts and reactivate them on the Campaigns page. Campaigns do not reactivate automatically.
Switching back to weekly
On the General tab, click Weekly. The change is saved immediately, and your allocation per batch returns to the full weekly allocation.
Campaigns that were deactivated when you switched to daily do not reactivate automatically. Reactivate them on the Campaigns page.
