Botify MCP Use Case: Building a Content Brief from a Topic

📘 This use case demonstrates assembling SERP data, keyword candidates, People Also Ask questions, topic clusters, and AI Overview data into one brief.

Best for: Content and marketing teams · Uses: SERP, keyword, PAA, and AI Overview data, via your AI assistant

Overview

Building a content brief usually means pulling search engine results page (SERP) data, keyword candidates, People Also Ask questions, topic clusters, and AI Overview data from several places and assembling them by hand. Botify MCP can do that assembly for you.

Prerequisites

  • Botify MCP connected to your AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT. See Connecting to the Botify MCP for setup steps.

  • A topic or a tracked keyword list to start from.

Description of the problem

Turning a keyword or topic into a brief is slow when every input has to be gathered separately, more so when depending on another team to gather it.

Application

  1. Give your AI tool a topic or tracked keyword.

  2. Ask it to pull SERP data, keyword candidates, People Also Ask questions, topic clusters, and AI Overview data for that topic.

    Why this prompt works:

    • Naming every input the brief needs up front is what produces one assembled brief instead of five separate answers you'd have to combine yourself.

    • Starting from a topic or tracked keyword, rather than an open-ended request, gives the assistant a fixed scope to gather data against.

  3. Have it assemble the results into a single brief.

  4. Hand the brief to your writers.

Follow-up prompts

  • "Check this topic against our existing content for cannibalization." — catches whether the brief is competing with something you already have.

  • "Pull PAA questions for [related topic] too." — extends the brief to an adjacent topic without starting a new request from scratch.

Make it repeatable

  • Save the assembly prompt as your team's standard brief template, so every brief pulls the same five inputs in the same order.

  • If you're producing briefs across many topics, see Building a People Also Ask Repository at Scale — pulling PAA questions once for your full tracked-keyword list, so this step draws from an existing repository instead of a fresh pull each time.

Result

A marketing team gets a usable brief without working in the platform or waiting on another team for the underlying data.
