Accessing Botify Assist

Access Botify Assist from the global project navigation bar:

The navigation panel is enabled in the default view. To toggle the view, click the Panel icon:

Starting a Chat

Start a chat in Botify Assist using any of the following methods:

Using Preset Use Cases

If you need inspiration for where to start with Botify Assist, we recommend starting with the preset use cases. These are common inquiries you can click to start the chat thread.

To start a chat via preset use cases:

  1. Click "How to use Assist" in the left-hand navigation panel, or click a use case block on Assist's landing page to start the chat. The beginning of the query fills the Assist chat space.

  2. Identify the values indicated in parentheses in the use case.

You can also access the use cases when you initiate a new direct chat. Click the category names to browse the use cases:

Starting a Direct Chat

When you know what you want to query, start a direct chat with Botify Assist:

  1. Click the New Chat link in the navigation panel or the plus icon at the top of the page.
    ​

  2. Type a message in the text box, then click the arrow icon or press RETURN/ENTER on your keyboard.
    ​

  3. Submit follow-up messages to continue the thread.

Chatting with a Specific Agent

If you know the specific AI agent you want to query, start your question with @{agentname}, referring to the list available in the navigation panel.

Alternatively, type @ in the message box to retrieve the list of available agents.

Managing Chats

Finding a Chat

Chats are saved as soon as Assist responds, and your full chat history is accessible through the navigation panel. The most recently updated chat is at the top of the list. Click the chat title to display the full chat content.

Deleting a Chat

To delete an existing chat

  1. Hover over its link in the left-hand navigation panel until the 3-dot menu displays, then click Delete:

  2. Click Delete in the confirmation dialog.

Viewing References

Assist often includes references as text links. Click these to navigate directly to the link. References may also be shown in a canvas that expands to the right of the Assist panel to provide additional detail.

To view references in a canvas:

  1. Click the canvas icon to expand the canvas.

  2. Click any link in the canvas to open the referenced page in a new tab.

  3. Click the X at the top of the canvas to close it.
    ​

Copying an Answer

You can copy chats to use the content in other documents. To copy a chat to your system clipboard, click the Copy icon at the bottom of the chat:

Export answers by asking Assist to export them into the desired format:
