Monitoring PageWorkers Optimizations

Updated over a year ago

πŸ“˜ This article explains how you can monitor the status of PageWorkers optimizations. PageWorkers is part of Botify's Activation Suite, available as an option with all Botify plans.

Overview

The PageWorkers Monitoring page provides real-time insight into the successful execution of the optimizations you have implemented on your site, allowing you to easily identify critical issues that need to be resolved. Starting with the overall success rate of optimizations executed within the last 24 hours, you can drill into the metrics to find more detail.

Working on the Monitoring Page

The PageWorkers Monitoring page provides key performance indicators to help you quickly evaluate the success of your page optimizations.

Accessing the Monitoring Page

Access the PageWorkers Monitoring page by navigating to Activation > PageWorkers > Monitoring:

Understanding the Monitoring Page

By default, the Monitoring page provides KPIs and charts for all optimizations over the previous 28 days. To customize the display, use the period selector and the Select Optimizations dropdown list to select specific optimizations on which you want to report. The KPI banner and the charts are updated to reflect the data according to the selections made.

The following KPIs are included for the selected period:

  • Executions: The number of successful optimization executions.

  • Unique URLs Optimized: The number of distinct URLs for which at least one optimization was executed successfully.

  • Success Rate: The ratio of successful optimization executions divided by the total number of executions. A decreasing success rate is an indication of errors to be fixed.

The Monitoring page includes the following charts:

Executions

The Executions chart displays the number of optimizations successfully executed and the number of errors encountered during execution. An execution is attempted every time a user or bot visits a page where the optimization runs. Recent errors are reported in the Issues Last 24 Hours chart.

πŸ’‘ If errors are shown at the beginning of the selected period, change the selected period to determine when the error began.

Issues Last 24 Hours

The Issues Last 24h Hours chart displays errors encountered over the last 24 hours that prevented the execution of optimizations. The following information is included to facilitate troubleshooting:

  • Error Description: The error encountered when the execution was attempted.

  • Optimization: A link to the optimization in PageWorkers where the error occurred.

  • Last Seen: The time increment when the error was last encountered.

  • Occ.: The number of error occurrences within the last 24 hours.

  • Devices: The device type from which the page with the optimization was requested.

  • Sample URL: A link to pages where the error occurred.

Executions Per Bots & Users

The Executions Per Bots & Users chart displays the number of optimization executions by individual bots or users. Use the dropdown list to toggle between bots and users.
