Managing PageWorkers Optimizations

Updated over a year ago

πŸ“˜ This article explains working with PageWorkers deployed ("Live") and Draft optimizations. PageWorkers is part of Botify's Activation Suite, available as an option with all Botify plans.

Accessing Optimizations

To locate existing optimizations, navigate to PageWorkers > Overview.

To quickly find optimizations:

  1. Status: Filter by optimization status type: Live, Paused, Draft.

  2. Type: Filter by optimization type: Custom, Page Editor, Replace, Remove URLs, Nofollow URLs.

  3. Creator: Filter by the name of the user who created the optimization.

  4. Date: Sort this list by when the optimization was created or last modified.

  5. Search: Use the Search field to locate a specific optimization by name or keyword.

  6. Only Split Tests: Slide the toggle to the right to reduce the list of optimizations to only those with split tests.

You can take the following actions on the Overview page:

You can also create optimizations from this view by clicking the Create Optimization button at the top of the page.

Optimization Status Types

Optimizations are displayed in the order in which they were created, with the most recent at the top, and include one of the following status types:

  • Draft: The optimization has been created but is not yet active.

  • Live: The optimization has been created and is currently active in the pages designated in the settings.

  • Paused: The optimization was previously deployed to the site, but has since been put on hold.

πŸ‘‰ There is also an "Archived" status, though the list does not display archived optimizations.

Pausing Optimizations

You can pause any optimization that is in "Live" status. This action puts the optimization on hold until you explicitly activate the optimization again.

To pause an optimization:

  • Expand the context menu on the live optimization card, and then select Pause; or

  • Click the optimization card to open the details, and then select Pause from the menu next to the Live status.

The optimization status changes to "Paused," and the optimization will not be in effect on the designated pages until it is activated.

Activating Paused Optimizations

You must activate optimizations in a "Paused" status to make the optimizations live on the designated site pages.

To activate a paused optimization:

  • Expand the context menu on the paused optimization card, and then select Activate; or

  • Click the optimization card to open the details, and then select Activate from the menu next to the Paused status.

The status of the optimization changes to "Live", and the optimizations will immediately take effect on the pages designated in the settings.

Archiving Optimizations

You can archive the "Live" and "Paused" optimizations you no longer need to help manage your list of optimizations. Archived optimizations cannot currently be recovered.

To archive an optimization:

  • Expand the context menu on the optimization card, and then select Archive; or

  • Expand the dropdown next to the status at the top of the page, and then select Archive. The optimization is moved to the archive and will no longer be delivered.
