Transferring a Botify Project

📘 This article explains transferring Botify projects within Organizations.

Overview

When you are the Owner of a Botify project, either through your individual Botify account or through an Organization in which you are an Owner, you can transfer projects to other Organizations in which you are an Owner user. You can transfer projects while creating a new Organization or at any time by visiting the Organization's page.

Transferring Projects When Creating a New Organization

When creating a new Organization, you will be prompted to transfer projects on the second step if your individual Botify account is the Owner of any projects. Select the checkbox next to the name of the project, and then click the Transfer Projects button:​

Transferring Projects with Existing Organizations

At any time, you can transfer projects from your individual Botify account into an Organization in which you are an Owner (import) and transfer projects from an Organization into another Organization (export) as long as you have access to the Organization's Transfer Token.

To import a project into an Organization:

  1. Navigate to the Projects section of the Organization's page.

  2. Click the Transfer Projects button.

  3. Click the Import Projects button.

  4. Select the project name to import into the Organization, then click the Transfer Project button.

To export a project from an Organization:

  1. Obtain the Transfer Token from the Organization where you want to transfer the project. This is located in the Organization block of the Organization page:

  2. Follow Steps 1 and 2 in the section above.

  3. Click the Export Projects button.

  4. In the text field provided, type or paste the Transfer Token for the Organization from which you will export the project, and then click the Choose Organization button.

  5. In the list of available projects that displays, select the checkbox next to all projects to be transferred, and then click the Transfer Project button.

  6. In the confirmation message, click the Proceed to Transfer button.

    A final confirmation displays, indicating the projects have been moved.
