All GenAI features in Botify operate exclusively on data that already lives within the Botify platform, specifically:
Your website crawl data
Web server log data
Google Search Console (GSC) data
Google Analytics (GA) data
No personally identifiable information (PII) from your end users is processed or stored. Botify's Analytics features only work with the public data that is already available on your website.

Botify uses GenAI throughout the platform, including the following locations, though this is not an exhaustive list.
Botify Assist – Conversational AI agents that help with SEO tasks like keyword research, content briefs, technical SEO analysis, and querying your Botify data.
SmartContent – Auto-generates optimized titles and meta descriptions at scale.
SmartIndex – Helps ensure your content is indexed by search engines by generating optimized sitemaps, alerting search engines to new or updated pages, and pushing content directly to Bing's index. GenAI is not used for sitemap generation itself, but the feature can generate text embeddings from your crawled pages to support other features like SmartLink.
AI Visibility – Monitors your brand's performance and visibility across AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Perplexity). Botify may automatically generate prompts using your RealKeywords data to simulate what visitors might ask on those platforms.
LogAnalyzer – Uses AI to verify bot authenticity (e.g., confirming crawls are genuinely from Googlebot) by cross-checking IP addresses against public records. IP addresses are never stored in Botify's databases after this check is complete.
Data Protection
Botify acts as a data processor and processes all data in accordance with GDPR and CCPA.
A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) governs how data is handled.
Third-party AI model providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for model training.
Botify is SOC 2 certified and GDPR compliant by design.
All AI-generated outputs are recommendations only and require human review before any action is taken.
